Learn More about Popular Impotence Medications

Men around the world have known to experience some or the other sexual problems, which can be problematic to an extent that they affect a man's sex life. It can also cause a person to lose his self esteem and self confidence. Erectile dysfunction is one of the common sexual problems experienced by men. It is a condition in which a man has difficulties in achieving or sustaining erections long enough for completing a sexual act satisfactorily. You can suffer from erectile problems because of physical factors such as diabetes, high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, high cholesterol, injuries to your spinal cord or nervous system and obesity. Psychological factors that can cause erectile problems include stress, guilt, anxiety, depression, sexual boredom, conflicts with your partner and unresolved issues pertaining sexual orientation.

As such, this condition is a temporary one, and is experienced by all men at least once in their life time. But some can experience this condition for a prolonged period of time, when treatment becomes inevitable. Viagra, Cialis and Levitra are three most popular prescription medications available as erectile dysfunction treatment. Viagra, is the oldest and the first erectile dysfunction treatment to be introduced on the market. It was initially manufactured by Pfizer as a treatment for treating patients with high blood pressure. When, during the clinical trials, they observed that it helped men with their erectile problems, they introduced the drug as an impotence treatment. You can buy Viagra in the dosage strengths of 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg, which is prescribed as per the severity of the condition. The pill works by increasing the blood flow in your male sexual organ by relaxing the corpora cavernosa muscles, allowing you to have better erections.

Cialis is another erectile dysfunction treatment that is becoming popular among men. It has also been termed as the 'weekend pill' as the effects of this pill are known to last for up to 36 hours after taking the pill. This pill contains Tadalafil as its active ingredient, which works by increasing the blood flow in your male sexual organ, helping you to achieve better erections. Cialis is supposed to be taken at least 30 to 60 minutes before you engage in a sexual act. You are required to take the pill with a glass full of water, either with or without food. This pill is available in the dosage strengths of 10 mg and 20 mg. You can buy Cialis online through registered online clinics, or through a doctor's prescription. Some of the side effects of this pill include headaches, indigestion, facial flushing, sudden loss of vision and back pain.

Levitra is another effective impotence treatment, which has been proven to be more effective in men who are above 50 years of age and have underlying health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. This pill is available in the dosage strengths of 5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg, and being a low dosage pill, reduces the risk of one developing severe side effects. Doctors usually prefer prescribing the 10 mg pill, and eventually increase the dosage if there is no difference in the condition. You need to take this pill at least 25 to 30 minutes before engaging in a sexual act, and you can experience the effects of this pill for up to 5 hours. You should be careful enough to take only one Levitra pill within a span of 24 hours as it can cause certain side effects. The side effects of this pill include stuffy nose, headaches, back pain, upset stomach, shortness of breath and changes in your vision.

Tadalafil the Latest Impotence Treatment Medication

Cialis (tadalafil) – The latest impotence treatment

When a man can not get an erection hard enough to have sex or can not keep an erection long enough to finish sex, it is known as erectile dysfunction or impotence. This problem can occur at any age, but is more common in men above the age of 65. If you have problems in getting an erection, do not worry. Impotence treatment is now at hand. The latest impotence treatment is Cialis.

About Cialis

Cialis is an impotence treatment pill to be taken orally. It works by increasing blood flow into the penis after some sort of sexual stimulation. Cialis does this by relaxing the muscles and increasing blood flow to particular areas of the body. This helps you to achieve and maintain an erection. Cialis is a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor and all impotence treatments belonging to this category work in the same way. The only difference in them is their active ingredients and the dosage they come in. Some other impotence treatments in the same class are Viagra and Levitra.

Who can take Cialis? – Basic eligibility to take Cialis

Cialis is not meant for everyone therefore it is only available on prescription. This impotence treatment should be taken under a doctor’s guidance only.

You should not take Cialis if you are taking a nitrate drug for chest pain or heart problems, including nitroglycerin. Taking Cialis impotence treatment with a nitrate medicine can cause serious decrease in blood pressure, and lead to fainting, stroke, or heart attack.

Sometimes a particular condition also makes it unsafe to take Cialis. Before taking Cialis, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs, or if you have following conditions:

* heart disease or heart rhythm problems
* a recent history of a heart attack
* a recent history of stroke or congestive heart failure
* angina (chest pain)
* high or low blood pressure
* liver disease
* kidney disease (or if you are on dialysis)
* a blood cell disorder such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia
* a bleeding disorder such as hemophilia
* a stomach ulcer
* retinitis pigmentosa (an inherited condition of the eye)
* a physical deformity of the penis (e.g. Peyronie’s disease)
* if your doctor has specifically told you not to have sex due to some condition

Strength and ingredients of Cialis

The active ingredient in Cialis is tadalafil. If you are allergic to any ingredient of Cialis, do not take it. Cialis comes in following strengths:

* Cialis 5mg – yellow, almond-shaped, film-coated tablets
* Cialis 10mg – yellow, almond-shaped, film-coated tablets
* Cialis 20mg – yellow, almond-shaped, film-coated tablets

Do not take Cialis more than once a day. Allow 24 hours to pass between doses. The effects of Cialis last for 36 hours and it starts working in 30 minutes. Cialis can help you achieve an erection only if sexual stimulation occurs. An erection will not occur just by taking Cialis pill.

Side effects of Cialis

Some of the side effects of Cialis include:

* warmth or redness in your face, neck, or chest
* stuffy nose
* headache
* upset stomach
* back pain
* vision changes
* feeling light-headed, fainting
* erection that is painful or lasts 4 hours or longer

This is not the complete list of Cialis side effects and others may occur. Tell your doctor about any unusual or bothersome side effect.

Contact your doctor or seek immediate medical attention if your erection is painful or lasts longer than 4 hours. This condition is known as priapism and if left untreated can cause permanent damage to the veins in penis.

Why men choose Cialis for impotence treatment?

Some men choose Cialis as their impotence treatment because it starts working in 30 minutes and its effects last for 36 hours. Therefore, they do not have to plan their sexual activity around the time of taking impotence treatment. Moreover, as Cialis is available in lower dosage form compared to Viagra, another impotence treatment, more men prefer to take it.
